Saltwater Brewery Develops Edible Six-Pack Rings for Marine Life

From dangerous hazard to tasty treat, Saltwater Brewery unveils edible six-pack rings that feed sea turtles instead of strangling them.

You might have read our previous articles about the devastating damage plastic is doing to our oceans. The pollution poses a threat to all marine life, and it’s about time somebody does something about it. . .

Say no more, a Florida brewery has the answer: six-pack rings that are both biodegradable, and serve as a scrumptious snack for marine life.

According to NOLA, the rings were developed by Saltwater Brewery, a craft microbrewery anchored in Delray Beach. They’re appropriately crafted from wheat and barley, and have already started popping up in some south Florida stores.
