SHOT Show 2019: Beretta adding flair to pistol lines, for a short time

Beretta had an expansive floor space at SHOT Show 2019 and was, as always, impressive. From the latest in traditional hunting and outdoor apparel, to a massive shotgun display that was literally and figuratively loud with an array of camo-finished stocks and a looping video of duck hunting, to hundreds of pistols in an eye-catching array of colors, the company made a statement.
In the pistol department, Beretta’s M9A3, their venerable double-to-single action 9mm with 15+1 capacity, was displayed in a wide variety of color combos taken from the tactical palette. Olive hardware with black trim, blued steel with olive or desert tan trim, and solid gray were on display, as well as others.
The idea is one that should please customers. Every quarter, the company is releasing a new color scheme, but the ordering window is limited—the olive/black styles, for example, can only be ordered through the end of February 2019.
The rich selection of variations on the M9A3 theme seen at SHOT will surely stir excitement in the hearts of M9A3/92F lovers. Base price is $1,100.
Along with the new look for the standard M9A3, the company released the commemorative 92G Brigadier Volunteer, an apparent tribute to the host of their relocated factory: the Volunteer State, Tennessee. The detailed script engraved into the slide is lovely to behold, but difficult to photograph on the SHOT floor. This 92G is ready to order at $899.
Beretta’s striker fired 9mm/.40 SW APX line continues to grow. There’s the original full-size, the reflex sight-wearing, threaded-barrel Combat, the mid-size Centurion, and carry-ready Compact. Each is available in an assortment of colors. Prices range from $525 to $775.
