New Bushnell Prime 1800 6×24 Laser Rangefinder
Luke Cuenco 06.22.21
There is a new laser rangefinder for shooters and hunters to enjoy at the range or on their next hunt – the Prime 1800. The Prime 1800 has a host of new features including Bushnell’s new ActivSync Display, an IPX4 water resistance rating, 2 times the light transmission as well as a 900-yard detection range on deer. Should the battery life and durability turn out to be equally as impressive I think the new Bushnell Prime 1800 would be a great rangefinder for any shooter’s kit.
New Bushnell Prime 1800 6×24 Laser Rangefinder
The Prime 1800 is the first rangefinder with Bushnell’s new, cutting-edge ActivSync display that fluidly morphs from black to red and back for ideal contrast against your target no matter the lighting. A generous objective lens brings true-to-life colors at 6X magnification to the eye for clear, detailed viewing and enhanced display readability.

The New ActicSync feature takes the display of the Prime 1800 and adapts it from red to black with infinitely variable tones based on how dark or light your target is so your target stands out from the rangefinder reticle. I personally think this is a great feature but it would also be nice to manually adjust the red/black of the reticle in case the onboard sensors don’t properly detect and adjust for the correct contrast.
The 50% larger objective lens seems like a nice feature too as this eases eye strain and gives you a wider viewing area when sighting in and ranging a target. The Prime 1800 features a tripod mount too which I think would be really helpful for days spent dialing in long-range shots out to 1800 yards. With a +/- 1 yard accuracy shots out to extreme distances should be possible with such precise measurements. Angle Range Compensation (ARC) mode is also available for shots that are being taken either uphill or downhill.
The Prime 1800 seems like it would be a great fit for long-range precision rifle shooters and also hunters who are hunting in favorable and predictable weather conditions. It’s not the most rugged laser rangefinder on the market but it certainly seems capable and comes with features meant to make things easier on the shooter.
