The New Enhanced Smith & Wesson M&P15T II Rifle
Luke Cuenco 06.22.21
Smith & Wesson has made some serious upgrades to one of its most popular AR-15 style rifles. The new and Enhanced Smith & Wesson M&P15T II Rifle sports a lot of new features while still retaining the reliability, shootable and affordability of the original M&P15T MSR. The new rifle will be available through your local Smith & Wesson dealers and will be available for just under $1,400.
The New Enhanced Smith & Wesson M&P15T II Rifle
The new rifle features many modern improvements over the old design that bring it into the modern shooting age. Probably the most notable enhancement is the addition of an M-LOK handguard. M-LOK handguards are often lighter and allow for more adaptability when it comes to mounting aftermarket accessories like lights, grips, and optics. Smith & Wesson also decided to add a flat-faced trigger, Radian Raptor-LT ambidextrous handguard, and an oversized forged trigger guard for better use with heavy gloves.

The M&P15T II is available now at an MSRP of $1,372. I really like the idea of the M&P style grip added to the rifle and I’d be keen to try one out some time to see if that style of grip would be comfortable enough to use with a rifle. Other enhancements like the flat-faced trigger and radian charging handle are also great additions in my opinion. What do you think? has Smith & Wesson added enough value to the M&P15T II for you to consider this for a first rifle?
