Maven has just released their latest offering to their hunting optics customers – the Maven RS.5 4-24-50mm Second Focal Plane Riflescope. New RS.5 4-24x50mm Second Focal Plane Riflescope from Maven
While a lot of the industry has been focusing on First Focal Plane (FFP) scopes for their long-range capabilities, a lot of work is still done by hunters and shooters at closer ranges with the benefits of a second focal plane scope. Maven has introduced this new premium offering to help bridge the gap between the two types of optic when an FFP scope just won’t cut it.
The new Maven RS.5 4-24x50mm SFP – built for those who require the precision of long range dialing with the fine reticle benefits of a second focal plane.
When we evaluated our RS Series lineup, a common refrain we heard from our customer base was the need for a solid long range scope that combined features of our top scopes in a second focal plane optical system that allowed for an easy-to-see reticle at all magnifications – enter the RS.5 4-24x50mm SFP.
Even though the math at longer ranges is more difficult, I still think that there is a place for SFP scopes on the market and apparently Maven does too. The RS.5 4-24x50mm SFP riflescope is available now directly from Maven for $1,400 meaning that there is no markup from the producer of the optic to you. The RS.5 is available in both MIL and MOA reticles and can also be completely customized upon request in various camouflages and colors. The Maven branded neoprene cover is also included with your new RS.5 scope.
