Arc’teryx Releases NEW Alpha Parka
Nicolas Lenze 11.10.21
I grew up in the desert. A hot day rolls off my back just like any other. Cold, however, is a nasty feeling. Now that I hike in the Rocky Mountains in the dead of winter, cold-weather gear has a whole new meaning. A warm, well-built jacket allows you to focus on what you’re doing, instead of on the cold. This is a comfort issue, as well as a safety one. Anyone who regularly spends time outside has heard of Arc’teryx. The high-end brand has helped countless climbers battle the elements. Now, with their newest release, you can conquer the cold. This is the new Alpha Parka.
Focus on the task, not the cold. Designed for winter climbing, our warmest belay parka is built for the harshest conditions. RDS-certified 850-fill goose down’s outstanding warmth is complemented with mapped synthetic insulation for added breathability in moisture-prone areas.
The NEW Alpha Parka From Arc’teryx
The new Alpha Parka from Arc’teryx is meant for the most bitter cold. It is a down-insulated belay parka that uses RDS-certified 850-fill goose down for insulation. The parka uses 2L GORE-TEX INFINIUM with Hadron to block wind and make short work of environmental moisture. The material also adds to the overall warmth of the coat, adding the same as 100g of natural goose down. Hadron is a proprietary material that’s created with a liquid crystal polymer ripstop grid. This helps prevent rips and abrasions in less-than-friendly conditions. The StormHood is designed to maintain the wearer’s field of view and is helmet-compatible.
