The Newest Lightweight Bipod From MDT: The GRND-Pod
Nicolas Lenze 02.15.22
A stable firearm means a stable shot. Hunters gravitate toward guns made specifically for accuracy. When you have one shot to drop an animal (for time, effort, and ethical reasons), you need to be sure that the projectile hits where you need it to. There are so many ways to stabilize your gun’s front end, but the bipod remains one of the most convenient and effective. Bipods, however, have always had two big flaws; they tend to be heavy and expensive. To give you an option that will make both your back and your wallet happy, MDT has released a lightweight bipod. Introducing the new MDT GRND-Pod.

The MDT GRND-Pod (pronounced “Ground-Pod”) was developed for the shooter wanting a stable and secure platform to shoot off of without breaking the bank.
The NEW Lightweight GRND-Pod Bipod From MDT
The GRND-Pod sits on carbon fiber legs, which wrap around cores made from 6061-T6 aluminum. The bipod has four locking positions: 0°, 50°, 90°, and 180°. The buttons are of the high-strength polymer flavor. This is to aid in weight reduction and durability. The feet are rubber, but users should know that it’s also compatible with Atlas/Ckye-Pod feet. You can change the cant tension without tools, using the attached lever. The bipod can be ordered with a mount for either Picatinny or RRS Dovetail/ARCA. Plus or minus some change, this bipod’s weight hovers right around one pound, depending on the selected mount. The height is one-hand adjustable and can be set anywhere between 4.5″ and 9″.
