SCI Continues the Fight for Global Hunting & Wildlife Conservation Efforts

Hunters and conservationists around the globe can use all the help they can get when it comes to preserving the practices, wildlife, and lands that we use to hunt and live on. While the 2nd Amendment is a well-known hot button topic in the United States, few firearms owners realize that there is a real and active threat coming from governments, groups, even companies who want to censor or outright eliminate private conservancy and hunting groups across the globe. Safari Club International (SCI) is dedicated to fighting against these threats and in a recent press release, the organization restated its goals and methods in an effort to gain more support in its fight to help hunters and conservationists worldwide.
SCI Continues the Fight for Global Hunting & Wildlife Conservation Efforts
Safari Club International (SCI) is a “First For Hunters” organization aimed at keeping the tradition and love for hunting alive in this world and they are constantly fighting to further initiatives that will help out hunters and conservationists in both the United States and the rest of the world. SCI has often faced opposition from State, and Federal governments as well as Big Tech censorship which directly targets hunting and conservation organizations via Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms which stigmatize the practice of hunting. In response, SCI has launched a petition against this censorship and is dedicated to speaking out on behalf of hunters and conservationists worldwide to help us stand up to this type of censorship.
In continents like Africa, SCI helps to support local groups and operators that run anti-poaching teams by providing them with the tools and resources they need to help their local communities and help them to draw a direct link between their improvements in livelihood as well as wildlife conservation. “In the United States, both hunting and conservation are threatened at the federal and state levels,” said W. Laird Hamberlin, CEO of SCI. “And SCI is in the unique position as the only hunting rights organization with a Washington, D.C.-based international advocacy team. We take such threats very seriously and are committed to representing hunting access here and abroad.”
“Unfortunately, these are just a few of the threats to hunting and conservation that must be contested in 2022,” Hamberlin added. “SCI is committed to defending our freedom to hunt here and around the world. Thank you to all who stand with us!”
