Vortex Optics has just announced a powerful new scope as part of its Strike Eagle Line. The new 3-18×44 FFP Strike Eagle has 6x magnification, combined with a 34mm tube for lots of windage and elevation adjustment, as well as an illuminated EBR-7C Reticle available with plenty of holdover marks and subtenons, available in MOA or MRAD. Per Vortex:
Vortex® is proud to announce another exciting addition to the incredible optical experience and versatility of its Strike Eagle® line. Designed for gun enthusiasts and competitive shooters operating in dynamic shooting scenarios, the Strike Eagle® 3-18×44 FFP riflescope (MSRP: $849.99) closes the gap between tactical mid- and long-range shooting.
This feature-packed, first focal plane riflescope delivers rugged construction, a sophisticated reticle, and superior optical quality so you can send rounds anywhere downrange with maximum speed and precision.
Cut from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Strike Eagle® 3-18×44 FFP’s robust 34mm tube accommodates massive amounts of elevation and windage travel. Pair with the NEW Vortex® 34mm Pro Riflescope Rings — available in Medium 1.10” height (MSRP: $119.99) — and you have a rock-solid, ultra-precise mounting system complete with torque specs laser-engraved on the rings so you’ll never forget.
The scope’s illuminated, EBR-7C reticle gets on target fast at any magnification or lighting situation, while the internal XD™ Optical System produces higher resolution and color fidelity for sharper images, near or far. Add in a throw lever for quicker target acquisition over a wide range of magnification, RevStop® Zero System to ensure a reliable return to zero, an exposed and locking elevation turret with a distinct tactile feel so you’ll never have to leave your sight picture to make an adjustment again.
WHY DID WE MAKE THESE SCOPES?
To provide a versatile light weight optic that has more magnification than the 1-8×24 FFP to extend the effective range, but less weight than
the 5-25×56 FFP to improve mobility
