These new Northland jigs are made of ultra dense element tungsten, a much more dense metal that is 30% denser than tradtional lead. The more eco-friendly tungsten jig heads are 30% smaller in volume when compared to traditional lead leads, and more sensitive. A tungsten jig is much more sensistive, letting you feel every subtly and structure of the bottom. The slightest tap, bump, or bite is telegraphed to you immediately. The jigs being smaller in volume also lets you have a much more finesse-centered presentation while not sacrificing on the weight of your jigs. Both the standard and long shank tungsten jig features a premium sticky-sharp Mustad Ultra-Point Hook and dual hook keepers that will lock soft plastics and live bait in place. Considering the cost of quality live bait and the time wasted adjusting soft plastics, this dual hook keeper design is a huge bonus.
