Nicolas Lenze 04.27.23
We’re in the middle of National Parks Week, which celebrates our beautiful national parks and the kick-off of National Park season. Hiking is physically tiring work and you need to keep your belly fed, preferably with protein. Jack Links is all about protein and has introduced some new cargo shorts to keep you fed and celebrate the season.

Once a mainstay of 90s and early aughts fashion, cargo shorts are making a comeback in a big way, fitting in with a “gorpcore” trend that focuses on utility. To celebrate National Park Week, Jack Link’s is adding jerky to the gorp—which stands for good ol’ raisins and peanuts—by creating limited-edition cargo shorts perfect for stashing meat snacks. The Jargo (jerkified cargo) Shorts feature an astounding 20 pockets custom fit to hikers’ favorite meat snacks for the trails.

When National Parks Week comes to an end on April 30th, the Jargo Shorts will be available to buy. They feature 20 meat snack-specific pockets for all of your meat needs. The price is set at $63. This is an intentional number, nodding to all 63 sites across the U.S. with “National Park” in their name. As if the shorts weren’t enough, Jack Links will also be donating $10,000 to National Parks Conservation Association to improve our parks for ourselves and our little sasquatches.
