[ICAST 2023]FITEC International Adds New Cast Net to Signature Series

FITEC International came to ICAST 2023 two show off a couple of new cast nets they have added to their Signature Series line of Cast Nets. Having been in the cast net game since 1984, they are now the largest cast net manufacturer in the United States and continue to be an industry leader year after year. The first of the two new cast nets is the Signature Shallow Series Cast Nets. Purpose-built to be used in shallower water to catch bait that’s say run up on the bank or beach. Lighter and easier to throw it has a lead line with 1.2 pounds of lead weights per radius foot. They are available in a 10ft and 7ft option with a mesh size that starts at 1/4″ and goes up to 5/8″. Like all the Signature nets, these are made with 6 panels of premium Japanese netting that has excellent tensile strength but are still super supple and soft. The braille lines are pre-stretched 100lb monofilament and attache to a heavy-duty brass swivel.

The second of the two Signature Series Cast Nets is the Deep Water Taped Cast net. Instead of being used for catching bait shallow, this is a net for catching bait sitting deep in the water column. The first and most obvious change is the tape going all the way around the net, this spreads the net out when it sinks instead of bunching up due to the drag in the water. The second feature is a heavier lead line with 1.6 lbs of lead per radius foot. Like the other net this uses the same premium netting and parts. They both come with the FITEC exclusive Net Replacement Policy. If you destroy the net somehow, they will do a one-time replacement of the same model of cast net for 50% off the original price.
