The New King of the Swamp: The Berkley Swamp Lord

Everyone loves a good topwater bite. It is a great sensory experience, seeing the water fly and swirl, hearing the splash, and the violent tug on the rod all of a sudden. It just gets the blood flowing when a big bass tries to inhale your frog. While that’s all great fun, a poor-quality top-water frog is not, that’s where Berkley Labs comes into the picture. They brought in an expert frog fisherman and 2022 Major League Fishing Redcrest Champion Bobby Lane to work with them to design and test the new king of the lily pads, the Berkley Swamp Lord.

The Berkley Swamp Lord comes equipped with optimally angled sticky sharp Berkley Fusion19 hooks. The Swamp Lord has a body made of a soft, but incredibly durable material that collapses easily when a fish gets a hold of it, so the hook points are well exposed to maximize an angler’s hookup ratio. The hook shank of the Swamp Lord is sealed for a tighter fit with its body to reduce water intrusion into the body. This lets anglers fish longer without having to fiddle with the lure. These new topwater frogs will be available in both standard and popping models, both have an MSRP of $9.99. Both models will also be available in 12 vibrant color patterns and are all available for purchase now.
