Registering early will save you money on the Adult registration fee, make you eligible for additional raffle prizes from local bait and tackle shops, and streamline your tournament day process. If registering early isn’t for you, same-day registration for the Governor’s Surf Fishing Tournament is available, but with a higher adult entry fee. The tournament will be held on Sunday, May 18th, at Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park.

The angler who catches the overall largest tournament-eligible legal-sized fish wins the “Governor’s Award” and will have their name engraved on the Governor’s Cup, which is permanently displayed at Island Beach State Park. Additionally, there are a variety of angler categories to sign up for, and additional prizes are awarded to anglers who catch the largest fish of each eligible species in their tournament category.
