Forget 3D-printed Guns, Build a Potato Bazooka

In the midst of all the controversy surrounding 3D-printed guns, Joerge Sprave of The Slingshot Channel has come up with an alternative: the potato bazooka.
The bazooka can fire a potato at up to 41.54 meters per second–certainly capable of doing some damage to hostile pieces of wood. If you want real stopping force with the bazooka, though, you will need to freeze the potatoes beforehand. The video below shows the effects of a thawed and frozen potato on a standard watermelon.
If you are looking to make your own cannon you will have to wait–while a film team recorded a “making of” the potato bazooka, the video will be first be aired on broadcast television sometime in the near future.
