Camera Protection in the Outdoors with LensCoat RainCoat
OutdoorHub Reporters 01.30.12
Cameras are hard to manage in the outdoors. I’m not speaking about the bright and sunny day where you biggest hurdle is carrying your equipment, but rather the unpredictable elements that make it hard for you to record what you came to record.
Snow, rain, sand and dust can easily make it into the crevices of your expensive machine and so Realtree and LensCoat partnered up to present the Realtree MAX-4 RainCoat for your large and small camera bodies and lenses.
Find out more about how the LensCoat RainCoat works and watch the video on how it was made below.
Original press release issued by Realtree on January 27th, 2012.
Columbus, Georgia – This camera cover by LensCoat protects your camera and lens from the elements like rain, snow, salt spray, dirt, sand and dust, while allowing you easy access to the camera and lens controls. The LensCoat RainCoat comes in two sizes, Pro (for DSLRs with lenses from 200-400/300mm 2.8 – 800mm) and Standard (for DSLRs with small lenses up to 100-400/400mm f5.6).
Available in Realtree MAX-4, this camera cover is constructed from a lightweight, waterproof, breathable poly tricot material, and the seams are tape sealed for maximum protection. No dedicated eyepiece is required for this camera cover, which goes on quickly and easily. The RainCoat’s versatile cinch straps allow you to adjust the length of the cover and to keep it snug around your lens. The fold-out arm sleeve from its integrated pocket provides access to the camera controls. You can also access the camera through the rear opening and the lens through the hook and loop bottom closure.
