New Florida Online Hunter Safety Course Available Just in Time for Turkey Hunting Season
Hunter-ed 02.13.12
Florida hunters who need to complete a hunter safety course before going turkey hunting this spring now can get started on their training at www.hunter-ed.com/florida.
In Florida, those born on or after June 1, 1975, and are 16 years or older, must pass a hunter safety course before they can purchase a hunting license. The course at hunter-ed.com/florida is approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and contains the same material that’s taught in the classroom.
Features such as detailed illustrations and interactive animations at hunter-ed.com make it easy for students to learn how to be safe and responsible hunters. Plus, an optional narration feature allows students to listen, read or both.
Students can study for free at hunter-ed.com/florida. Those who must receive their hunter education certification to obtain a hunting license pay a one-time fee, which is due only if they pass the test. Students can take the test as many times as they need to pass it.
To complete all hunter education requirements for Florida, students must pass the online course and the field day, which is designed to be a hands-on, learning experience. Before beginning the online course, students must pre-register for the instructor-led field day. (http://www.hunter-ed.com/florida/field_day.html)
