Investing heavily in DriDown hydrophobic down insulation technology, the new team at Sierra Designs creates most focused insulated apparel collection yet
With the benefits of DriDown hydrophobic down insulation clearly established and new brand team including VP Michael Glavin, Product Director Jim Trombly, and Creative Director Martin Flora firmly in place, Sierra Designs is introducing their most focused and functional insulated apparel collection yet.
New for Fall 2013, this collection fully embraces the benefits of DriDown insulation, creating several new, highly functional apparel pieces designed to take you from the frontcountry to the backcountry in style and comfort.
“DriDown is easily the most remarkable innovation we’ve seen in the outdoor industry in decades, and, as leaders in hydrophobic down technology, Sierra Designs is in a position to offer some of the most technologically advanced and functional insulated apparel the industry has ever seen,” said Michael Glavin, VP for Sierra Designs. “Our fall collection is focused and high-performance, giving retailers a go-to line of insulated apparel that’s easy to merchandize and sell.”
DriDown apparel standouts include the new for fall 2013 Super Stratus jacket, Cirro Collection, and 28⁰ North jacket. Each piece is designed to excel in specific environments.
Stuffed with 160-grams of our game-changing 800-fill DriDown insulation for excellent compressibility, light-weight, and all-conditions performance, the Super Stratus Jacket ($279) is the warmest backcountry piece in the line. Featuring a drop hood design with drop-tail hem, the Super Stratus will keep you warm, dry, and protected during those wet, heavy snowstorms. The Super Stratus is available in men’s and women’s styles.
Designed for active winter use, the Cirro Jacket ($199) is a lightweight hybrid piece insulated with 600-fill DriDown in the body and tops of the sleeves. A stretch knit gusset on the sides and under the arms increases comfort and mobility. 75-grams of DriDown stay lofty and warm whether you’re working up a sweat or when the snow starts to fly. The Cirro series also includes the women’s skirt ($99) and women’s vest ($149).
Warm, stylish, and inspired by vintage designs, the 28⁰ North Jacket ($259) is perfect for après ski or around town. Featuring our 600-fill DriDown for superb performance in damp weather, a 40D nylon shell for vintage good looks, and a hung liner for extra warmth, this piece will keep you warm and looking great all winter long. Interior Lycra cuffs with thumbholes keep hands warm and protected. Available in men’s and women’s styles.
