Boosts Fire Rating by 25 Percent; Adds Back Lit Keypad and Internal Electrical Outlet for Device Charging
Stack-On Products today strengthened its Total Defense series of fire resistant and waterproof safes, to offer a 75-minute fire rating – a 25 percent increase over the current performance – as well as to include a convenient backlit electronic lock and a factory-installed electrical outlet inside the safe.
The enhanced Total Defense series, which encompass 16 models that hold up to 54 firearms, will be introduced at the 2014 SHOT Show, booth 605, January 14-17.
Stack-On is the only full-line safe company that offers long gun storage that protects against flooding, according to Shelley Nehrt, director of marketing for the company, who notes that the safes are waterproof in up to two feet of standing water for 72 hours.
The new safes will have a fire rating of 75 minutes at temperatures up to 1400-degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, the new line will include a new back lit electronic lock that illuminates with a single touch of one of the numbers on the keypad. The easy-to-program electronic lock allows for storage of a three to eight digit combination, as well as convenient battery access and failsafe entry via a backup key, which is included. A factory installed electrical outlet is included for convenient charging or powering of electronic devices while they are in the safe.
All Stack-On Total Defense safes have been approved to meet the California Department of Justice standards for safely storing firearms.
The Total Defense series doors are secured with a four-way locking system that use up to seven extra-large 1.5-inch live action locking bolts and three deadbolts. The live action locking bolts are retracted or extended with the rotation of the five-spoke handle.
All safes in this line also include factory installed door organizers for added storage.
