Reed and J.W. don’t miss an opportunity for segues; This week’s “Tip of the Week” is about how Silencers are legal. Joining them this week is special guest Joshua Waldron, the president of SilencerCo. Joshua kicks things off with a short history of how SilencerCo. got started, the five pillars of the company, and how it sets them apart from their competitors.
Joshua elaborates on company practices and the SilencerCo team before moving into discussion about the Saker product line. Available in 7.62 and 5.56, the Saker difference starts with the internal components and materials. While most high end suppressors traditionally used inconel as a baffle material, SilencerCo utilizes Stellite for its durability and heat resistant properties. Another unique feature of the Saker are the endcaps. It’s replaceable by the end user and compatible with a flash hider mount.
Additionally, Joshua gives a few cryptic details about projects coming in the future for the company. Tentative release dates are mid year at earliest, and a confident projection for SHOT Show 2015. Joshua assures us that the new products are practical and new innovations to the field as an industry leader.
Reed and J.W. also tackle some listener feedback after the interview in the listener Q&A section. Anyone can listen to this episode at www.ar15podcast.com/071/
