Ducks Unlimited’s (DU) 77th annual convention in St. Louis, Mo., will convene at the end of the month, and a number of corporate sponsors have stepped up to make sure it continues to be a must-attend happening in the conservation world. Sponsors at this year’s largest gathering of DU members and volunteers include Bird Dog Flavored Whiskey, Discover Financial Services, Jack Daniels, Kräftig Light, Monsanto, Nestle-Purina, United Country Auction Services, and Winchester Ammunition.
“Without a doubt, DU could not accomplish its goal of conservation delivery without the passion and dedication of our members and volunteers, as well as support from our corporate partners,” said DU CEO Dale Hall. “Their contributions are essential to the overall success of the organization as we work together to conserve, restore, and protect wetlands and other wildlife habitats for future generations. Ducks Unlimited would like to sincerely thank our corporate partners for their support of this year’s convention.”
“We are pleased and honored to sponsor Ducks Unlimited’s 77th Convention, and specifically the Friday night concert featuring country music star Craig Morgan,” said Kevin O’Donnell, Vice President of Business Development & Corporate Partnerships, Discover Financial Services. “Through our unique partnership with DU, our customers are able to show their support for wetlands conservation every time they use the DU Discover Card. We look forward to celebrating some remarkable conservation achievements with DU members and volunteers this year in St. Louis.”
“Purina is pleased to welcome Ducks Unlimited leaders and partners to St. Louis, where our Company was founded 120 years ago,” said W. Patrick McGinnis, President and CEO, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company. “We know DU members have a passion for sporting dogs and retrievers, so we’re excited to sponsor ‘Purina Day’ and the retriever seminar on Thursday, May 29.”
Ducks Unlimited’s annual national convention is a fun-filled, week-long opportunity for conservationists to gather together to celebrate the successes of the past year, to learn more about DU’s mission across North America, and to plan for the future of wetlands and waterfowl conservation. The 2014 National Convention will take place May 28th – June 1st at the Hyatt Downtown at The Arch in St. Louis. The 2015 convention will be held in Milwaukee, Wis.
