USCCA Completes Fourth Instructor Certification Course

The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) held their fourth Instructor Certification training course May 16-18 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Seventy-four students successfully completed the course, which included three full days of training with classroom instruction, hands on break-out sessions and live fire exercises. Students learned common instructor mistakes and how to avoid them, presentation best practices and how to use PowerPoint to integrate the USCCA curriculum into their lessons. The course also touched upon proper business and financial management. The training was conducted by seven USCCA staff members and four USCCA Certified Instructors. There are now 230 USCCA Certified Instructors.

Guest presenters included: Kevin Michalowski, Executive Editor of Concealed Carry Magazine, Mark Walters, host of the nationally syndicated Armed American Radio show and Mike Hughes, CEO-Founder; and Britt Lenz, Chief Financial Officer of NextLevel Training LLC

Feedback from students was positive and included the following comments:

I have been very blessed to have served the Nation and been employed by a fortune 100 company as a Trainer for 30 plus years. Following early retirement from industry, I am going to be starting a firearms training business. I offer the following because “I was there”.

The team and the three day course met every expectation for content, presentation skill and agenda execution. I’ve rarely seen a better team or more polished presenters.”

~David D., Sebastian, FL

This was by far the best conceal carry training that I have ever taken in my life. You guys are the spearhead of the conceal carry community and no one can touch you guys. Keep up the good work.”

~First Sergeant Jose R., 82nd Civil Affairs Battalion, Fort Stewart, GA

Michael Martin, Chief Instructor and author of Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, reviewed student materials provided in the Instructor Toolkit, identified important elements within the USCCA curriculum, and presented tips to maximize the use of the USCCA multimedia materials.

The USCCA Instructor Certification Program meets the statutory and administrative guidelines allowing USCCA Certified Instructors to teach a concealed carry course in 18 different states.
