The 3rd Leg National Championship of the I.B.O. Triple Crown proved an epic showcase for Elite Shootability as Levi Morgan kicked his skills into overdrive to define accuracy. Only a handful of days after setting up a new black, 70-pound Energy 35 Levi doubled down to win the June 11-13 Cardinal Shooting Center event and ultimately be crowned 2014 I.B.O. National Champion. Finishing with an impressive score of 430, tying the all-time event record and winning the event by eight points Levi captured top honors at his 2nd I.B.O. Triple Crow and has now made the Elite Energy 35 the most accurate bow in I.B.O. history.
Levi said this about the record setting performance and his overall national championship, “I knew going into the weekend that it was going to be one of the most important weekends of the year for me, considering it was for the last IBO and the points race for the triple crown was on the line. I literally set up a new bow for this shoot last week after wanting to try a different arrow setup and after firing only a few arrows through the bow, I told Samantha that there was definitely something special about this one and I really felt like I was going to win. After the smoke settled, I tied the all-time scoring record of 430 and hit the most 11’s ever shot, hitting 32 out of 40 to win this shoot and the Triple Crown. It’s a great feeling to build that much confidence in a new bow in less than a week. God really allowed everything to go so smoothly this week and I look forward to the rest of the season with these bows.”
After shooting a phenomenal 214 first day score, and hitting 16 out of 20 eleven rings, Morgan strung together another 16 out of 20 eleven rings to complete his 2nd round with an impressive 216. Levi’s 32 eleven rings with a combined score of 430 tops his previous I.B.O. event record of 30/430 and is the highest all-time professional score ever shot in I.B.O. competition.
“For Levi to win this event and then set an all-time I.B.O. record number of elevens with a score of 430 is an incredible and a true testament to his immense talent and The Outdoor Group’s dedication to quality. He continues to demonstrate how shootability equals accuracy with record-setting fashion. Critics said our two-track cam system couldn’t shoot this accurately, but we’re happy to report Levi’s accomplishments prove continue to prove otherwise.” said The Outdoor Group President, Peter Crawford.
