The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has announced that it has appointed Jennifer L.S. Pearsall as Director, Public Relations.
Pearsall brings nearly a quarter-century of industry experience to the table, including stints in retail and shooting range management, and tenure as an editor with the National Rifle Association. She has also enjoyed a successful freelance writing and photography career over the last decade, with her byline appearing in dozens of print and online publications.
Before joining NSSF, Pearsall served as the senior-most book editor for the Gun Digest brand. She is an avid upland and big-game hunter and has been actively involved as a competitor in a variety of shooting sports, including IPSC/USPSA, blackpowder metallic cartridge silhouette, sporting clays, skeet and trap.
NSSF also announced that it has appointed Justin Morrissey to the position of Digital Content Specialist. Morrissey graduated from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications and an associate’s degree in field biology in May 2014. In recent years, he has worked as both an intern and independent contractor with several companies in the outdoor industry, such as the Professional Outdoor Media Association, Mallory Communications, Bill Miller Outdoors, Babe Winkelman Productions, among others.
“These are two extremely talented people that we’ve welcomed aboard here at NSSF,” said Bill Dunn, NSSF Managing Director, Marketing Communications. “Both Jennifer and Justin should prove to be tremendous assets to our organization and to our more than 10,000 NSSF members.”
“We believe that having the best talent on our team is one of the qualities that sets NSSF apart from other organizations,” said Deb Kenney, NSSF Vice President, Human Resources and Administration. “We are excited to have both Jennifer and Justin as part of our successful team.”
